I am blessed (or cursed, I'm not sure which) with a son who insists on vaccuming the second the vaccum is brought out. He's doing it right now, in fact. Granted, I have to intervene ever once in a while to make sure he doesn't get side tracked and forget to do the whole floor, but he generally does a good job. Granted, he has to use one of those mini-vac thingies (the big upright is too heavy for him) and he needs constant monitoring when he's cleaning it out afterward but I haven't had to vaccum my own carpet in months.
Did I mention he's only three? And he also insists on plugging it in? Three year old and live electricity. And he's teaching his little (one and a half) sister everything he knows.
The celebratory running-in-circles after he's done is worth it, though.
