kublakhanI was asked to help a contractor do some updates in our call logging program a while back. I was reluctant to take the job because 1) it was dumped into my lap well after the process had begun and 2) I'm paranoid that my supervisor is looking to find a way to get rid of me. I threw mysefl at the task and, after a very slow start we got the important updates completed.
While I certainly can't take credit for either the requests or the design of the solution, I am amazed at how much more productive I can be. I don't have to spend all my time filling in all those extraneous fields. I don't have to wait while the system double-checks my entries. I can actually finish logging a call in the time it takes me to talk to the customer!
Sometimes, it's the little things.
